Stephanie Newman is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate*
Supervised by Patricia Boylen, LPC Supervisor
Stephanie attended the University of North Texas, earning a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies. She spent five years as an elementary school teacher, working with children from diverse populations and cultures. Stephanie went on to complete a Master of Science in Counseling and Development from Texas Woman’s University. She has clinical experience in both individual and group therapy from Sante Center for Healing, an adult treatment center specializing in various types of addiction.
Stephanie approaches each session with curiosity and compassion. She uses relational and humanistic approaches, creating a safe, trusting, and authentic space. She strives to provide an empathetic, non-judgmental, and collaborative environment where clients are empowered to connect with their strengths and move toward resilience and meaningful change.
Regardless of age, Stephanie is passionate about inner-child work. She supports clients in acknowledging unmet needs, developing self-compassion, and gently reshaping patterns and beliefs that no longer fit. Exploring these areas can also provide a deeper understanding of family dynamics, the origins of past coping skills, and the parts of self that learned to adapt early in life.
It is a beautiful privilege to walk alongside individuals in the therapeutic space. Stephanie is committed to honoring each person's lived experience as they learn to write and claim their own story.
Fun fact:
Stephanie has a mini-goldendoodle named Ziggy. In her free time, she enjoys reading, spending quality time with family and friends, and trying new restaurants!
