Asia Robinson is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate*
Supervised by Patricia Boylen, M.Ed., LPC Supervisor
Asia is originally from St. Louis, MO. She moved to San Antonio, Texas to pursue her dream of becoming a licensed professional counselor. After finishing her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from St. Mary's University, she relocated to the DFW area. Asia has clinical experience treating individuals and intensive outpatient groups during her time at the Family Life Center and Innova Recovery Center.
Asia utilizes a humanistic approach allowing her to meet clients where they are. She supports each client in their therapeutic journey and celebrates the uniqueness of each individual. Asia works from a collaborative point of view and encourages her clients to take lead in their journey, while also offering a helping hand along the way.
Asia considers herself an eclectic counselor who utilizes modalities such as RCT (Relational Cultural Therapy), DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy) and CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy). RCT allows Asia to acknowledge and respect the individual difficulties that each of her client's face. Some of the challenges include: childhood trauma, discrimination, abuse and much more. RCT drives the need for genuine connections, self-empathy, authenticity and resilience. Asia has treated a variety of clients who have experienced anxiety, depression, self-esteem/self-image challenges, relationship conflicts, PTSD, life transitions, grief and more.
Asia believes that it is important to be a confidant in her client’s healing journey. A top priority of Asia’s is providing her clients with a safe space, free of judgement, and authenticity where they can bring their whole self.
Fun Fact: Asia is a music lover who listens to music almost everywhere she goes. In her free time, she also enjoys painting and spending time outdoors with her husband and two fur babies!
